How To Set Up Email Accounts On Android 4.0+

Note: To complete these steps, you will need to know your email address, password, incoming mail server name, and outgoing mail server name as provided by your Hosting Provider.

1. Go to your email application.

2. Go to Settings and then Add Account

   1. Enter your email address and password.
   2. Click on Manual Setup

3. When prompted for the Account type select IMAP or POP. We recommend using IMAP.

4. This should take you to the incoming mail server settings which should be set follows:

   1. Username should be your full email address
   2. Password should be your email password
   3. Server should be mail.<yourdomain.co.rw>
   4. Port should be 143 for IMAP and 110 for POP
   5. Security type should be set to None
   6. For IMAP, IMAP path prefix should be left blank.
   7. Click Next to proceed to the outgoing server settings.

5. The outgoing server settings should be as follows:

   1. SMTP server should be mail.<yourdomain.co.rw>
   2. Port should be 25 or 3666
   3. Security type should be None
   4. Require sign-in option should be checked
   5. Username should be your full email address
   6. Password should be your email password
   7. Click Next to proceed to the personalization settings.
6. Adjust the settings as required and click Next to create the account.
